Buenos Dias, Long Time No See!

Brianna: On a delightful spring day, Ellen and I decided to take a stroll through the lovely Hill Section in Willimantic. The coming of spring brought beautiful weather that was surely reflected by our whimsical moods –and outfits.
As for mine, I chose a light blue top from Target tucked into high-waisted light khaki H&M shorts, belted with a pink-maroon vintage belt, and worn with brown t-strap sandals and a bronze vintage cuff. The cuff was sort of a diamond-in-the-rough (it was found in a random shop in the Catskills, of all places) and is now a well-worn favorite of mine. With its little red roses plaited on it, it’s like a tiny little garden on a bracelet. And just like my cuff, my belt has little flowers placed subtlety on it too. All these flowers with my bowed shirt and high-waisted shorts made for a girlish and charming outfit, perfect for a delightful walk.

Ellen: (The extremities to which we neglect our blog is despicable. But we're back. Just so you know, school is the epitome of enjoyable torturous.)
On this admirably beautiful day, our walk through this Victorian neighborhood is certain to inspire our outfits. We now have acquired the taste of what I would call "mellifluousity". Obviously not an actual word, but it sounds perfectly legit. Flowing fabrics, unique belts, silken flowerettes, utter daintiness - I think this type of style calls for a new word. Mellifluousity.

My excellent outfit (I'm so modest) consisted of a sheen ivory flowerette top by Spense, a rose-burgundy circus-themed belt from Anthropologie, plant print capris by Idra, a pair of sandals, and Brianna's etched cream bracelet. This is the
type of whimsically vintage (yet not overdone like those hideous animal-shaped rubber bands) that both Brianna and I would suggest for wearing around in a confident stride saying, "Glance at my beauty! But only glance! Because I'm so subtly pretty that a glance is all that you deserve!"

P.S. from Ellen: I'm leaving for China tomorrow morning at 4am.
Wish me luck in finding cute clothes!
